Blast reported on busy heritage street near Golden Temple, second explosion in two days
A low-intensity explosion was reported at Heritage Street near the Golden Temple in Amritsar on Monday morning, a day after a similar blast took place in the area leaving one injured.
The incident happened around 6.30 in the morning. Forensic teams have been dispatched to the scene to collect samples for analysis. No injuries or damages have been reported so far, and the police have yet to release an official statement regarding the explosion.
Residents in the surrounding area heard the blast and observed smoke in the vicinity. An unidentified individual hung an explosive device, or bomb, in the parking lot on Heritage Street, resulting in the explosion.

On Saturday night, one person suffered minor injuries and glass facades of some buildings were damaged in an explosion on a heritage street near the Golden Temple.
The explosion, the cause of which is not yet known, was reported near an eating joint Saturday night, they said.
The blast was heard within one-km radius of the Golden Temple.
