BJP's 'Unhappy' Karawal Nagar MLA Gets Ticket From Mustafabad
BJP on Sunday announced its third list of candidates for upcoming Delhi Assembly elections 2025. Mohan Singh Bisht, who has represented Karawal Nagar five times, will now contest from Mustafabad. Meanwhile, Kapil Mishra has been chosen to represent Karawal Nagar in the upcoming elections.
Initially, Bisht was unhappy when his name was absent from the second candidate list. He expressed his discontent by stating he would only contest from Karawal Nagar and planned to file his nomination before January 17. "The BJP thinks they will field anyone and he will win. This is a big mistake," he told ANI.

BJP's Election Strategy
The BJP is determined to regain power in Delhi, having been out of office since 1998. Despite their efforts, they face strong opposition from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which dominated the 2015 and 2020 elections. The BJP managed only three seats in 2015 and eight in 2020.
Kapil Mishra, known for his staunch Hindutva stance, expressed optimism about winning Karawal Nagar. "The people of Karawal Nagar are enthusiastic, and we are set to secure a big win here," he said confidently. He believes that Delhi is experiencing a wave of change that favours the BJP.
Upcoming Elections
Delhi's Assembly elections are scheduled for February 5, with results expected on February 8. The BJP is making every effort to ensure a successful campaign across all constituencies.
A senior BJP leader revealed that Bisht was calmed after discussions with party chief JP Nadda. This meeting helped resolve any issues regarding his candidacy and ensured unity within the party ranks.
The political landscape in Delhi remains competitive as parties gear up for the elections. Both the BJP and AAP are preparing strategies to win over voters in this crucial electoral battle.
