BJP worker hacked to death in Kannur
Kannur (Ker), Sept 3: In yet another incident of suspected politically-motivated attack, a 27-year-old BJP worker was hacked to death in Thillankerry in the district tonight.
The body of Binesh with injury marks all over his body was found near the Panchayat office at about 9.30 PM, police said. The incident follows an earlier incident today in which a CPI(M) worker was injured after a country-made bomb was hurled at his car he was travelling in, they said.

This is the latest in the sporadic incidents of political violence witnessed in the sensitive district allegedly between CPI(M) and BJP-RSS workers. On August 25, four RSS workers were attacked allegedly by CPI(M) workers at Muzukkun in the district, triggering tension in the locality.
