BJP will storm back to power if Lok Sabha polls were held today, finds India Today survey
At least 20 per cent of the respondents believed Modi government sucessfullly handled Covid-19 pandemic, while 14 per cent thought it was the revocation of Article 370.
New Delhi, Jan 26: Who will win the Lok Sabha polls if elections are to be held today?
According to an India Today-CVoter Mood of the Nation poll, the BJP will win 284 seats, while the Congress will end up with 191 if elections are held today.

The next Lok Sabha elections will be held early in 2024.
According to the survey, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains the most popular leader in the country. 72 per cent of the respondents said that they were happy with the prime minister's performance. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi found favour with very few respondents.
According to 37 per cent of the respondents, the Bharat Jodo Yatra has surely managed to create a buzz, but it was not enough for the Congress to return to power.
A total of 1,40,917 respondents were considered for this survey, India Today said.
Main highlights of the survey:
- 67 per cent of the respondents said that they were satisfied with the performance of the Modi government as on January 2023. This is an increase of 11 per cent from August 2022.
- In August 2022, 37 per cent had said that they were satisfied with the performance of the government. This is an 18 per cent dip in the number of those satisfied when compared to August 2022.
- The biggest success of the Modi government was the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to 20 per cent of the respondents. 14 per cent felt that the biggest achievement was the revocation of Article 370 in Jammu And Kashmir.
- According to 12 per cent the biggest achievement of the government was the construction of the Ram Mandir
- The biggest failure according to 25 per cent of the respondents was price rise, while 17 per cent thought it is unemployment
- According to 29 per cent, the Bharat Jodo Yatra is a great exercise for mass connect, while 13 per cent thought it was yet another re-branding for Rahul Gandhi
- Sachin Pilot is best suited to revive the Congress according to 17 per cent, while 26 per cent of the respondents think it is Rahul Gandhi who is best suited for this.
