BJP was adamant to shield 'tainted' leaders: Sachin Pilot
Jaipur, Aug 14: Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot on Friday held the NDA government responsible for the washout of the Monsoon session of Parliament, saying the BJP was "adamant" to shield its "tainted" leaders which was the main reason behind the stalemate.
"It is very unfortunate that monsoon session of the parliament ended without any work just because of the government which was adamant for protecting its tainted leaders," Pilot said at a civic body elections rally in Ajmer.

He said the government instead of delivering "good governance" used the huge public mandate that it got in Lok Sabha elections, for protecting "corrupt" leaders.
Pilot further alleged that the issue of "tainted" ministers and chief ministers was not discussed in parliament and BJP leadership gave them "clean chit" in press conferences and other public forums.
Meanwhile, Pilot exuded confidence that Congress party would receive a good response in the civic bodies polls scheduled to take place on August 17.
