Amritsar, December 13: The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) women's wing chief, Vanathi Srinivasan, extolled the nine years of the Narendra Modi government, describing them as a shining example of good governance, development, and prosperity in India. Addressing the executive meeting of the BJP Punjab Mahila Morcha in Amritsar, Srinivasan highlighted the pro-people policies of the Union government that have resonated with citizens across the country, as evidenced by the BJP's resounding victories in three recent assembly elections.

Modi Government's Initiatives for Sikhs and Punjabis

Srinivasan commended the Modi government for its initiatives that specifically benefit Sikhs and the Punjabi community. These include the construction of the Sri Kartarpur Sahib corridor, which facilitates pilgrimage to a revered Sikh shrine in Pakistan; the punishment of perpetrators involved in the 1984 riots; the granting of Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) registration to Sri Harmandir Sahib, the holiest Sikh shrine; and the respectful repatriation of physical copies of Guru Granth Sahib from Afghanistan to India.

Mahila Morcha's Role in Punjab

Srinivasan emphasized the crucial role of the Mahila Morcha in disseminating information about the Modi government's accomplishments to the people of Punjab. She urged the workers of the Mahila Morcha to diligently communicate these achievements and other initiatives to the public, thereby strengthening the party's position in the state.

Addressing the meeting, Jai Inder Kaur, the newly appointed state president of the Mahila Morcha, pledged the organization's unwavering commitment to working towards the betterment of the party in Punjab.
