BJP takes potshots at Delhi, Bihar govts; Cong attacks Centre
New Delhi, Jun 2: BJP today took potshots at Delhi and Bihar governments over sending of personnel on deputation to Anti Corruption Branch here, saying it was a "joke" as the Nitish Kumar government has itself "failed" to act against the corrupt.
Congress attacked the Centre, the Lt Governor as well as the Arvind Kejriwal government, terming the situation as a "classic case of plague on all three houses" and said it was the "voiceless" people of Delhi who were suffering due to the "escalating tension".

The decision to send officials is an "image building" exercise by Bihar government which has been unable to set its house in order, said BJP, which had a bitter parting with ruling JD(U) in Bihar in June, 2013 after a 17-year-long alliance.
"The present Bihar Government has not been able to set right the law and order situation in the state. When people in the (Bihar) government were with NDA, we had initiated job of taking strict action against corruption. But now they have stopped taking action against the corrupt.
"And now, they are sending officials to Delhi to end corruption. This is nothing but a joke. Those who could not set their own house in order, how will they perform here? This is only an attempt at image building. This is not going to make their image. I think this step by Nitish Kumar is cheating with Bihar," Bihar BJP leader Nandkishore Yadav said.

Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said it is the citizens of Delhi who are being victimised while both the Centre and AAP Government have failed "enormously".
"This is a classic case of plague on all three houses. There has been an enormous failure of the Central Government, of its representative L-G and also of the State Government. Each is escalating the tension. Each is standing on ego. No solution is in sight. Amidst all this, the victim, the voiceless, faceless victim is the citizen of Delhi," Singhvi said.
Meanwhile, Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay challenged AAP Government to make public names of officials the Kejriwal dispensation claims to have acted against in matters of corruption and also expenses incurred on displaying advertisements in this regard.
