BJP's Swamy calls Priyanka an alcoholic, Congress protests

Thereafter in a tweet, he wished Varun Gandhi all the best and said,"Good luck to Varun. One Nehru whose blood is 100 percent Hindustaniyat. No wonder Booze and Buddhu jealous (sic)."
Swamy was referring to the war of words exchanged between Varun Gandhi and his cousin Priyanka Gandhi. Priyanka, in a rally in Sultanpur on Monday had said that Varun should be voted out as he was a Gandhi who had been "led astray".
Meanwhile, Varun who filed his nomination papers from Sultanpur on Monday , hit back at Priyanka saying,""It is my request to all that instead of personal attacks, we debate unemployment, corruption, poverty and illiteracy. My inherent decency and largeheartedness should not be construed as weakness by anyone."
After Swamy's comment, the Congress has said that it would complain to the Election Commission. However, he said,"If they have a problem with what I said, they can approach the court."
