BJP steps up attack, holds protests against Bharti in 14 locations
The BJP leadership has said that they would intensify stir against Bharti and would approach the President if needed.
Pressure is mounting on chief minister Arvind Kejriwal to sack Bharti, who is accused of misbehaviouring with Ugandan women during a night raid in the state. Meanwhile, AAP leader yogendra yadav said on Friday that an independent panel has been set up to probe the allegations against Bharti.
The women had alleged that the Aam Admi Party supporters, led by Bharti, raided their houses on the night of January 15 and misbehaved with them.
However, Bharti has denied the allegations, saying that the raid was meant to bust a prostitution and drug racket in the area.
On Thursday, women's commission had summoned Bharti regarding the incident.
