BJP Expresses Concern Over Increasing Beneficiaries of Jharkhand Welfare Schemes, Says JMM Leader Kalpana Soren

Kalpana Soren, a leader from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), stated on Friday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is anxious about the growing number of beneficiaries of welfare schemes introduced by Chief Minister Hemant Soren's government. She accused the BJP of plotting against the popular state administration.

During a public meeting in Madhupur, Deoghar district, Kalpana highlighted the implementation of schemes like Sarvjan Pension Yojana and Mainya Samman Yojana by Hemant Soren's government. These initiatives aim to financially empower women for the first time. She noted that 55 lakh women have already benefited from the Mainya Samman Yojana, with plans to include more soon.

Welfare Schemes and Their Impact

The Sarvjan Pension scheme has reached 40 lakh individuals, while nine lakh girls are covered under Phulo Jhano Yojana. Additionally, 20 lakh people will soon benefit from the green ration card, and 25 lakh families have received homes under Abua Awas Yojana. Kalpana claimed these figures have alarmed the BJP.

Kalpana criticised the BJP for its alleged failure to deliver during its 18-20 years of rule in Jharkhand. She questioned why women were not honoured when they were in power. The JMM leader accused the BJP of shattering the dreams of girls aspiring to become doctors or engineers.

Political Accusations and Public Appeal

Kalpana alleged that instead of motivating and providing opportunities for youth, the BJP misled them. She referred to a quashed PIL against Mainya Samman Yojana in Jharkhand High Court as a fitting response to those trying to hinder welfare schemes.

She urged people to support JMM to ensure Hemant Soren's government can continue its work in Jharkhand. Kalpana assured that from December, Rs 2,500 per month will be transferred to Mainya Samman Yojana beneficiaries' accounts.
