BJP protests over disruption of parliament
New Delhi, July 24: Members of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday staged a protest at the parliament complex over the opposition's disruptions during the ongoing monsoon session.
The MPs held placards and staged a sit-in near the Mahatma Gandhi statue in parliament complex, the usual site for such demonstrations.

Taking a jibe on the protest, Janata Dal-United leader Sharad Yadav said in Rajya Sabha: "Why was the ruling party sitting on a dharna? Who were they making their demands to? Were they making their demands to god?"
At the protest site, members held placards questioning the silence of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi over corruption in Congress-ruled states.
The BJP leaders also demanded dismissal of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat ove alleged graft in disaster relief.
