BJP nominates Nirmala Sitharaman for RS from Karnataka; Venkaiah moves to Rajasthan
New Delhi, May 29: Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu will not contest Rajya Sabha polls from Karnataka as BJP on Sunday nominated another Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman from the state of Karnataka.
The BJP released the list of nominees for Rajya Sabha. However Venkaiah Naidu has been nominated from Rajasthan. It could be recalled that Karnataka witnessed a public uproar over nominating Naidu from Karnataka as he is non-Kannadiga and was getting nominated for the same since a decade.

Probably going by the public opinion, the top brass of the BJP chose not to nominate Venkaiah Naidu from Karnataka instead nominated from Rajasthan.
