BJP National Executive Meet: Will L K Advani keep everyone guessing?

Will BJP veteran L K Advani speak or not at the party's national executive. These were some of the questions that were posed before a host of BJP leaders who repeatedly came out of the meet to address the media.

There is no clear answer to the question. Some BJP leaders said that there is no need to make a big deal out of this and the focus is on a host of important issues for which the national executive was called in the first place. [LK Advani not to address BJP's national executive meet?]

He is participating in the discussions

The media probed a host of leaders on this issue. Will he speak or is he not being allowed to speak were some of the questions that were posed before both Prakash Javdekar and Muralidhar Rao. Both the leaders told the media not to make a mountain of a mole hill.

Rao said that Advani is participating in every discussion that is talking place. He has spoken about his thoughts on a host of issues that were discussed and debated all through the day. There is no question of anyone trying to sideline and this is just the imagination of a few, Rao also said.

Javdekar was even more curt and said that Advani is on the stage along with the Prime Minister, Amit Shah and Arun Jaitley. Does this not answer your question? Making this clear, he did not take any more questions on the issue and went on to elaborate of the events that took place through the day.

Anybody's guess

The party has kept everyone guessing on whether the veteran leader may speak or not. During the discussions in media circles today, some even indicated that Advani can become emotional and this could lead to an unnecessary outburst which the party does not want.

However there were others who said that it was Advani himself who did not wish to speak at the conclave. He has so far given absolutely no indication on whether he would speak or not. This has left everyone guessing.
