BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi Calls CM Kejriwal A Drama King After AAP Chief Skips ED Summons

Union Minister and BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi on Tuesday came out all guns blazing and targetted the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for not cooperating and respecting the Central agencies in relation to alleged corruption in Delhi liquor excise policy and the water development authority cases.

On the other side, the AAP has been skipping the summons stating it as a conspiracy by BJP and Central agencies are working for the saffron front to stop Chief Minister Kejriwal.

Meenakshi Lekhi

Escalating the ongoing feud between AAP and BJP, Meenakshi Lekhi during a presser gave an example of Prime Minister, and then Gujarat CM, Narendra Modi who had cooperated to the fullest during the investigation of the 2002 Gujarat riots. She said Modi ji was grilled for 12-hour-long hours and he supported the officials during the interrogation as he knew he is innocent.

"That is how you face... instead of drama and corruption like Kejriwal," Ms Lekhi thundered.

She also emphasized saying Delhi's governance model is on ventilator. Arvind Kejriwal and his ministers have done the biggest scam (excise policy allegations) one can think of. "This is why Delhi Chief Minister is avoiding ED summons, another scam came to the front," she said.

"And yesterday the Delhi High Court found a false affidavit was filed... it contains some remarks regarding procurement processes. Where the audit report found central procurement processes are violative of law, and drugs procured are substandard, and also not adhering to regulations..." Meenakshi Lekhi further said.

MP Lekhi also called CM Kejriwal a "power-hungry" man.
