BJP MLA shot at in Delhi, escapes unhurt

New Delhi, Sep 3: BJP MLA Jitender Singh Shunty was shot at three times in Vivek Vihar area in New

early Wednesday, police said. However, he escaped unhurt as none of the bullets hit him.

Reportedly, the incident happened on Wednesday morning at around 6. Two men came on bike and called the MLA out on the pretext of attesting some forms. They picked up a fight and fired four shots at him.

Shunty ran inside his house for cover as the assailants fled. The crime branch of Delhi police and a special cell is probing the case. The incident was captured in the CCTV cameras installed at the MLA's home. The police is trying to identify the shooters.
