BJP MLA Falls On Tracks While Flagging Off Vande Bharat Train | Watch Video
BJP MLA Sarita Bhadauriya from Etawah had a close call after falling onto the railway tracks during the flag-off of the Agra-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express. Videos of the incident have since emerged on social media, showing the chaotic moments on the crowded platform.
The incident occurred around 6 pm when train number 20175 arrived at Etawah station after stopping at Tundla. Bhadauriya, 61, was among the dignitaries present to wave the green flag following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's virtual inauguration of the train. MoS Railway Ravneet Singh Bittu officiated the flag-off from Agra.

Chaos on Platform
As the train was about to depart, supporters began jostling for position, causing chaos on the platform. Amidst this commotion, Bhadauriya was accidentally pushed off the platform and fell onto the tracks in front of the stationary train.
Fortunately, bystanders and police acted quickly, stopping the train and rescuing Bhadauriya before any harm could occur. She was immediately helped off the tracks and later consulted doctors. While there were no visible injuries, her team confirmed she is resting at home and awaiting further medical evaluations for any potential internal injuries.
Swift Rescue Efforts
The swift actions of those present prevented a potential tragedy. The crowd's quick response ensured that Bhadauriya was pulled to safety without delay. This incident highlights both the dangers of overcrowded platforms and the importance of immediate action in emergencies.
Bhadauriya's fall has sparked discussions about safety measures at railway stations during high-profile events. Ensuring adequate crowd control and security can prevent such incidents in future. The authorities may need to review protocols to enhance safety for all attendees.
This event underscores how quickly situations can escalate in crowded environments. It serves as a reminder for better management practices during public gatherings to avoid similar occurrences.
Bhadauriya's team has assured that she is currently resting at home and will undergo further medical checks to rule out any internal injuries. The MLA's narrow escape has drawn attention to safety concerns at railway stations during significant events.
