Actor-turned-politician Suresh Gopi, who will contest from the Thrissur constituency, appeared confident that the people will support the saffron party. "I am happy. I will fulfill the responsibility given to me and people will support that," Gopi told reporters after his nomination.
Union Minister Muraleedharan Predicts BJP's Success
After the announcement, Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs V. Muraleedharan told reporters that the Lok Sabha polls will be in favor of the BJP and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Kerala. He highlighted the violence and corruption associated with the ruling government in the state and expressed confidence that the NDA under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership will return to power at the Centre.
