BJP Leader Sudhir Mungantiwar Claims Party Implements Manifesto While Congress Misleads Voters
Maharashtra minister and BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar criticised the Congress for not fulfilling its manifesto promises, unlike the BJP. He stated that the BJP is actively seeking public input for its manifesto ahead of the November 20 Maharashtra assembly elections. "The Congress deceives voters by not implementing its manifesto. The BJP makes sure its manifesto gets implemented. We are determined to undertake measures for the betterment of the people," he claimed.

Implementation of Welfare Schemes
Mungantiwar highlighted that the funds required for implementing the 6th and 7th pay commissions were significantly higher than those needed for welfare initiatives like the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. He noted that opposition parties began criticising once people started receiving benefits, despite initially facing little criticism. The scheme provides Rs 1,500 monthly aid to women with an annual family income below Rs 2.5 lakh.
Economic Impact and Criticism
Opposition parties have criticised the Ladki Bahin Yojana, arguing that funds are being diverted from essential expenditures, including wage payments. However, Mungantiwar asserted that the scheme has enhanced women's purchasing power, thereby boosting demand and revitalising markets. "Under our rule, Maharashtra's per capita income has increased by Rs 1.52 lakh. We are ahead of Gujarat," he added.
The BJP leader emphasised that despite criticisms, their policies have positively impacted Maharashtra's economy and citizens' lives. By focusing on fulfilling their manifesto promises, they aim to continue improving living standards in the state.
