"We accept the mandate given by the people of Delhi. We failed to understand the mood of the people. BJP will continue to serve the people as it had been doing in the past. I congratulate Kejriwal on his victory," he said.
Till yesterday, Upadhyay had exuded confidence of his party's victory saying they will be different than the exit polls results as per feedback received from party workers.
"I don't want to challenge the exit poll results, they have different terminology, different techniques. Why should I challenge them? But as far as my techniques are concerned, I am confident BJP will form the government," he had said.
