BJP enrolls 4 crore members, Modi hails workers
New Delhi, Jan 21: BJP's membership strength on Wednesday crossed the four crore mark, an achievement lauded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"Our membership drive has crossed four crore (40 million) mark with the support of karyakartas and enthusiastic public," BJP President Amit Shah said.

Lauding the workers for making the party's ambitious membership drive a success, Prime Minister Modi tweeted, "(I) Am extremely delighted to know that BJP membership drive has crossed 4 crore mark! I congratulate Karyakartas for their efforts."
BJP launched its membership drive on November 1 with Modi taking its first membership, followed by Shah. The drive has set an ambitious target of 10 crore members to help the party emerge as the largest in the world with the highest number of members.
The BJP chief has been touring various states to ensure the success of the membership drive that will continue till March 31.
