UP: BJP to elect district chiefs by Dec 10
Lucknow, Oct 27: To overhaul the organisational structure of the party ahead of crucial 2017 Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, the BJP has decided to complete election of its district chiefs by December 10.
"In a meeting held in Bithoor yesterday, the state incharge Om Maothur has directed to complete elections of the district presidents by December 10," BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here today.

The meeting was presided over by UP unit chief Laxmi Kant Bajpai. Pathak said that election officers for district level polls have already been appointed. Once the district level polls are complete, the process to overhaul the state unit will kick start.
An important meeting of election officers has been called on November 3. The spokesman said that it has been decided that block and booth level polls should be held between November 15 to November 20. He said that subsequently elections at divisional level would be held between November 21 to November 30.
