BJP Criticises Congress Manifesto For Foreign Image Blunders

The BJP sharply criticised the Congress' manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, highlighting what they perceived as serious flaws. BJP's Sudhanshu Trivedi pointed out that the Congress manifesto included photos from New York and Thailand, questioning the party's attention to detail and seriousness in crafting their election promises.

Trivedi also criticized Congress President Kharge's statement about India's manufacturing history, calling it a lie and emphasizing historical achievements predating Nehru's era.

"There is a picture on water management in Congress manifesto. This picture is of the Buffalo River in New York state. Till now they have not been able to find out who was tweeting from their social media chairperson's Twitter, but who sent them this picture? Under the Environment section, a picture from Rahul Gandhi's favoured destination, Thailand has been put. Who is putting all this in their manifesto?" BJP national spokesperson Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi asked.

Regarding the Congress manifesto, which promises various initiatives including the right to apprenticeship and a constitutional amendment to raise reservation caps, Trivedi remarked that the party had named it "Nyay Patra" despite allegedly perpetuating injustice in the past.

Trivedi further expressed concern over the use of foreign photos in the manifesto, suggesting that this reflected poorly on the Congress' approach to governance and their understanding of India's image on the global stage.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also criticized the manifesto, questioning whether a foreign agency was involved in its drafting. Sarma highlighted what he perceived as flaws in the manifesto, including promises lacking delivery dates and the use of misleading images.
