BJP Convention: Modi Govt Has Made Ram Rajya a Reality, Says Political Resolution

The BJPs national convention passed a political resolution asserting that the 10 years of the Narendra Modi government have made the idea of Ram Rajya come true. The resolution also attacked the Congress and highlighted the governments development and cultural measures.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) national convention, held on February 17, 2023, in New Delhi, passed a significant political resolution titled "Viksit Bharat-Modi ki guarantee." The resolution asserted that the 10 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government have brought the concept of Ram Rajya to fruition.

Attacking the Congress and Highlighting Achievements

The resolution criticized the Congress party, stating that people have lost trust in it wherever it has been in power. It cited examples of states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, where the BJP regained power after the Congress's decline. BJP leaders highlighted the government's development initiatives, cultural measures, and various programs for south India, farmers, and Sikhs during their remarks on the resolution.

Empowering the Four Castes

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who proposed the resolution, emphasized that no government has done more for farmers than the one led by Narendra Modi. He referred to farmers as family to the prime minister. The resolution accused the opposition INDIA bloc of engaging in caste-based divisive politics and contrasted their approach with Modi's assertion that the country has only four castes: the poor, farmers, women, and the youth. It stated that the government's initiatives have empowered these four castes as they are at the center of every scheme.

Realizing the Dream of Ram Rajya

The resolution lauded Modi's leadership for not only constructing the Ram temple but also realizing the dream of Ram Rajya in totality by working to empower all sections of society. It expressed unwavering trust that the Modi government 3.0 will further accelerate the country's development and achieve new records of success, realizing the prime minister's vision of a developed India by 2047.

India's Emergence as a Strong Nation

The BJP asserted that India has emerged as a strong and capable country, progressing on the path of security, prosperity, and happiness. The party reposed its faith in Modi's leadership and expressed confidence in winning 370 seats, with its alliance securing over 400 seats. The resolution highlighted that the 10 years of the Modi government have brought the idea of Ram Rajya to the ground.

Praise for Modi's Leadership

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lauded Modi's leadership, particularly his role in the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, which ended a wait of over five centuries and brought joy to followers of Sanatan Dharma. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman seconded the resolution and spoke about the global gaze shifting towards India's thriving economy amidst global recession. She also spoke in Tamil and Telugu, as requested by Modi.

Economic Achievements

Sitharaman highlighted India's rapid economic growth and increased investment attraction. She credited Modi for steering the country's growth and taking the Indian economy from the "fragile five" under the previous United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government to the top five economies globally.

Agriculture and Welfare Initiatives

The resolution noted the significant increase in the agriculture budget under the Modi government, rising nearly five times to Rs 1.25 lakh crore from the previous UPA dispensation. It also highlighted the transfer of Rs 2.8 lakh crore to farmers under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme and record procurement of grains under the minimum support price (MSP) regime.

Development Works in South India and Tribal Regions

Union Minister L Murugan spoke about the development works undertaken by the government for south India, emphasizing the BJP's transformation into a truly national party with MLAs in Tamil Nadu and a significant presence in Telangana. Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi highlighted the government's welfare initiatives in tribal regions, including infrastructure development and electrification, which have significantly improved the lives of people in remote areas.

Credibility and Global Respect

Rajnath Singh emphasized Modi's credibility and his ability to deliver on his promises. He also addressed the recent allegations against members of West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress regarding sexual assault and land grabbing, calling it a blot on civilized society. Singh highlighted the government's efforts in rescuing citizens from abroad, including from Ukraine and Qatar, and noted that the world now listens to India.

The BJP's national convention celebrated the achievements of the Modi government over the past 10 years, asserting that they have brought the concept of Ram Rajya to reality. The resolution expressed confidence in Modi's leadership and predicted a resounding victory for the BJP in the upcoming elections, with the aim of making Narendra Modi India's prime minister for a third consecutive term.
