BJP Considers Entire Country as Family, Rajnath Singh Critiques Congress Leadership
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, during an event by RSS affiliate Sewa Bharti, subtly criticised the Congress. He stated that while the BJP views the entire nation as its family, some have prioritised one family's interests over the country's welfare. Singh urged people to recognise the distinction between the BJP and Congress.

Government's Commitment to Welfare
The Defence Minister praised the Union government's dedication under Modi's leadership to societal welfare and national progress. He mentioned Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay's philosophy of Integral Humanism, stressing that development must reach society's most marginalised individuals for their work to be complete.Singh noted that Modi, inspired by these ideals, declared his government's commitment to India's poor soon after assuming office in 2014. He pointed out that this commitment is evident through various welfare schemes initiated by the government. These efforts have lifted 25 crore people above the poverty line for the first time in independent India.Challenges and Responsibilities
Despite these achievements, Singh acknowledged ongoing challenges such as poverty, illiteracy, and discrimination affecting parts of society. He called for collective responsibility in addressing these issues and uplifting those affected. The Defence Minister stressed the importance of unity in tackling these societal challenges.RSS joint general secretary Alok Kumar also addressed the event, emphasising that service can reduce inequality. "This is a divine work in which every section of society should join," he stated. Kumar encouraged expanding these efforts during RSS's centenary year in 2025, urging Sewa Bharti to lead in connecting service initiatives across different areas. The event underscored the BJP's commitment to national welfare and highlighted ongoing efforts to uplift marginalised communities. Singh's remarks aimed to differentiate BJP's approach from Congress, focusing on inclusive development and societal service as key priorities.More From
