BJP condemns attack on Indian Consulate in Afghanistan

"Happy to know that all staff members and others working at the consulate are safe. Once again kudos to our security forces," he said.
Lauding the role of Indian security forces for their brave action, he said, "Hats off to our brave ITBP jawans and officers who have successfully defended India's consulate in Herat (Afghanistan)."
Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi has already condemned the attack and said he is closely monitoring the situation.
Indian consulate in western Afghanistan's Herat province was attacked on Friday morning by unidentified gunmen armed with machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades, said an ABC news report.
Reportedly, all the consulate staff are safe.
