BJP's Nadda Criticises Congress and INDIA Bloc for Opposing Lord Ram

In a series of campaign rallies and a roadshow in Gujarat, BJP President J.P. Nadda launched a scathing attack on the Congress party and the INDIA bloc, accusing them of siding with anti-national elements and opposing the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Nadda's remarks came ahead of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for May 7 in Gujarat, highlighting the political tensions between the BJP and its rivals.

Nadda Hits Out at Congress, INDIA Bloc

During his speech in Dahod, Nadda criticized leaders within the INDIA bloc, pointing out that many were either incarcerated or out on bail, labeling the alliance as a conglomerate of corrupt dynastic parties. He further accused the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government of obstructing the construction of the Ram temple by claiming in the Supreme Court that Lord Ram was an imaginary figure.

Nadda also targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly supporting the 'tukde-tukde gang' from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), who were proponents of terrorist Afzal Guru. He highlighted an incident where slogans were raised at JNU in support of Afzal Guru, following which Rahul Gandhi reportedly visited the university to express his support.

Shift in Political Narrative

Speaking in Ahmedabad, Nadda noted a significant shift in India's political landscape from a politics of appeasement to one focused on accountability and performance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. He accused the Congress of attempting to alter the Constitution to enable reservation based on religion, specifically targeting Muslim reservation, which he argued would undermine the principles of social justice as envisioned by Bhimrao Ambedkar.

Roadshow in Gandhidham

The BJP chief also took part in a roadshow in Gandhidham, Kutch district, as part of his campaign efforts in Gujarat. This event underscored the BJP's commitment to engaging directly with voters ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha elections.

Nadda's allegations against the Congress and INDIA bloc underscore the deep political divisions as India approaches another election cycle. With accusations of supporting anti-national forces and attempts to undermine Hindu faith symbols, the BJP seeks to consolidate its position by appealing to nationalist sentiments and highlighting its achievements in governance. As Gujarat prepares for the polls, these issues are set to play a central role in the electoral battle.
