BJP candidate charges AIADMK with rigging in Chennai South

In a statement issued here, Ganesan said polling was largely peaceful till 1 pm and after that the AIADMK cadre and leaders resorting to booth capturing and bogus voting in the constituency.
Tamil Nadu registered 73% polling during the day
Meanwhile BJP's state president Pon. Radhakrishnan in a statement praised police and election officials for conducting the polls in an efficient manner.
He said except for some instances of electoral malpractices indulged by rival parties, the conduct of poll was largely smooth.
Elections to Tamil Nadu's 39 constituencies were held Thursday in the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha polls. Ten other states and one Union Territory also went to the election the same day.
The state registered 73 per cent polling.
