BJP bypoll wins show people's trust in Modi's policies,says Shah

Shah congratulated his party's chief ministers in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Assam besides the state unit chiefs for the wins.

New Delhi, Apr 13: BJP President Amit Shah on Thursday said his party's victory in bypolls in several states highlights the people's trust in the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He also offered "special thanks" to the people of West Bengal for making the BJP "the principal opposition party" in the bypoll to one assembly seat where it bagged more votes than the Left and the Congress and finished at the second spot behind the TMC, which won by a big margin.

Shah congratulated his party's chief ministers in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Assam besides the state unit chiefs for the wins.

The saffron party has won five - one each in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam and Himachal, out of the nine seats where bypolls were held.
