120th Birth anniversary of Dr Rajendra Prasad celebrated in Bihar
Patna, Dec 3: Bihar celebrated the 120th birth anniversary of first President of India Rajendra Prasad with Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi leading the state in paying rich tributes to the departed leader.
Manjhi first went to Rajendra Chowk in the state capital, where a life-size statue of the former President is installed, and paid floral tributes.

He also distributed saris among women affiliated to 'Charkha Samiti' organisation, who were spinning khadi at the venue.
Leaders cutting across party-lines were present on the occasion.
The Bihar Chief Minister then visited Rajendra Ghat on the banks of the Ganga where the former President was cremated om February 28, 1963, and paid rich tributes to the departed leader, who had played a stellar role during the Freedom Movement.
Artists belonging to the Information and Public Relations Department, as well as, school students rendered soulful devotional songs on the occasion.
