Bihar Winter Shocker: Bride dies during marriage, groom takes corpse to Sasural

Patna, Dec 15: A young bride died on the day of her wedding. The bride, who has been identified as Soni Kumari, died due to coldwave. The incident took place at Bakhtiarpur in Bihar on Sunday, Dec 13.

Soni, who participated in all rituals, fell unconscious suddenly after completing the saat phere, one of the most important features of the Hindu wedding, involving seven rounds around a pious fire.

When she was rushed to a hospital, doctors declared her brought dead. Everyone including the groom was shocked and shattered. The moment of celebrations turned into a moment of mourning.

However, it was the groom who surprised everyone who attended the wedding ceremony. While Soni's family members went numb, the groom, Gayanand Kumar announced that he would take her bride to his own house.

Gayanand told that he wanted to fulfill his duties towards his wife and took Soni's corpse to his house and later cremated her on banks of Ganges.

Doctors, who checked Soni's body, stated that Soni died due to coldwave.
