Bihar Accelerates Industrial Growth, Landmark Technology Centre Inaugurated in Patna

The Bihta Technology Centre, inaugurated by the Chief Minister and the Union MSME Minister, aims to boost innovation, skill development, and MSME growth in Bihar. Extension centres in Muzaffarpur, Rohtas, Darbhanga, and Munger expand access, while schemes like PM Vishwakarma Yojana and PMEGP support self-employment and enterprise development.

In a major boost to Bihar's industrial development, a state-of-the-art Technology Centre was inaugurated in Bihta, Patna, marking a significant step toward strengthening innovation, MSMEs, and inclusive economic growth in the state.

Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, along with Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, jointly inaugurated the advanced facility. The centre is envisioned as a hub for manufacturing excellence, skill development, and innovation, aligning with the broader vision of "Make in Bihar."

Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister highlighted that Bihar is entering a new phase of industrial dynamism. He emphasized that the Technology Centre will play a crucial role in fostering entrepreneurship, enabling youth to become job creators rather than job seekers, and attracting new investments to the state.

In addition to the main facility, extension centres were also launched in Muzaffarpur, Rohtas, Darbhanga, and Munger. These centres aim to extend the benefits of modern technology and technical expertise to various regions across Bihar. A Special Vendor Development Programme under the National SC/ST Hub was also introduced to empower entrepreneurs from marginalized communities and integrate them into formal industrial ecosystems.

Addressing the gathering, Jitan Ram Manjhi described the initiative as a milestone in Bihar's industrial journey. He noted that the Technology Centre and its extension network will help build capabilities among youth and entrepreneurs, equipping them with industry-relevant skills and connecting them to national and global markets. He added that such initiatives contribute significantly to realizing the vision of a self-reliant India.

The programme also showcased the government's focus on grassroots empowerment. Toolkits were distributed to beneficiaries under schemes like PM Vishwakarma Yojana and Gramodyog Vikas Yojana, while financial assistance was provided to beneficiaries of the PMEGP scheme. Certificates were also awarded under the SC/ST Hub scheme, further strengthening opportunities for self-employment and enterprise development.

Several public representatives and senior officials were present at the event, including Naval Kishore Yadav, Deepak Kumari, Romit Kumar Singh, and Lalan Manjhi. Senior officials such as Pratyay Amrit, Kundan Kumar, Rajneesh, Kumar Ravi, and Kundan Krishnan also attended the programme.

With initiatives like these, the Bihar government continues to build a strong foundation for a future-ready industrial ecosystem. The inauguration of the Technology Centre is expected to accelerate innovation, promote entrepreneurship, and position Bihar as a key destination for industrial growth in the coming years.
