Bihar: Student Beaten To Death Inside Patna Law College

In a tragic and shocking incident, a student at the Patna Law College was beaten to death by miscreants on Monday. The deceased was identified as Harsh Kumar from BN College in Patna, who went to Patna Law College for an exam. The reports said scuffle took place following long time college rivalry.

Harsh was beaten mercilessly by a group of students and later when college authorities took him nearby Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), he was declared dead.

Shedding light on the incident, Additional Superintendent of Police of Patna Sharath RS told the media that a case has been registered against unidentified people, and police have launched an investigation into the matter. "All possible angles are being examined. We are scanning the CCTV footage installed in and around the crime scene for identifying the accused," he said.

Security personnel have been deployed on the campus.

The deceased's father, Ajit Kumar, said that Harsh received death threats since he started preparing for the upcoming students' union elections at Patna University.

He was planning to contest for the post of the student union's president.
