Bihar polls: What to expect from BJP's manifesto?
Patna, Oct 1: The BJP's manifesto for Bihar is likely to focus on jobs, education schemes and Narendra Modi's digital India dream. The manifesto to be released today at Patna will lay emphasis on the digital revolution programme and the party is likely to announce free laptops to students as well.
The manifesto will be independent to the BJP alone. It is not a combined manifesto of the NDA. The allies of the BJP will release separate manifestos in Bihar.

BJP sources say that the manifesto will have something for everyone. The youth of Bihar will be a major focus in the manifesto. There have been complaints by the youth about the lack of opportunities and jobs in the state.
The BJP's manifesto will attempt to lay the ground work for more industrialistaion in Bihar which would lead to the creation of more jobs. The security related issues are also set to be part of the manifesto.
Bihar has seen a rise in crime in the past couple of years and the BJP would look to address that issue. The BJP will also announce free laptops for students in a bid to promote the digital India dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The manifesto is also likely to announce a free clothing scheme for the underprivileged of Bihar. Further a hike in the salaries for teachers is also on the cards in the BJP's manifesto which will be released by party president, Amit Shah and Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley in Patna today.
BJP sources say that the manifesto will be a balanced one. A core team has worked on it after taking into consideration the problems from across the state. There will be different schemes for the urban and rural areas of Bihar.
The BJP has conducted various surveys within Bihar to understand what the people want. The major issues that daunt the people of Bihar are lack of jobs, bad sanitation, poor living conditions in the rural areas, security of women and also lack of support for agriculture.
