Bihar polls: Modi wave fizzles out; Twitterati troll BJP over decimation

New Delhi, Nov 8: After an astonishing win for the Grand Alliance in the Bihar assembly elections on Sunday, tweeple did not step back from trolling Bharatiya Janata Party over its humiliating loss.

"The BJP offices ke bahar lage 'Latest Boards' - 'Yahan Mithai aur Phatakey sastey milenge (Boards outside BJP office - Sweets and Crackers available at discounted rates)," wrote Anubhav Jha.

Tweeple troll BJP over Bihar loss.
Some senior journalists also did not refrain from trolling the BJP. Harinder Baweja, a senior journalist, said: "And the cows didn't come home."

Over his remark that "there would be bursting of firecrackers in Pakistan" if the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) loses the elections, BJP president Amit Shah became the victim of most of the trolls.

Kamaal R. Khan said: "People are bursting fire crackers all over India and asking Amit Shah ji to go to Pakistan."

"Get crackers, get Pakistan visa and a cheap air ticket," journalist Madhavan Narayan wrote, while photo-journalist Altaf Qadri said: "Gosh! Bihar turned out to be so 'intolerant'! Let it annex with Pakistan."

"At least one thing is proved now, cow only gives milk - not votes," one man, Imran Khan said in a tweet.

"Kashmiris depend on Biharis not only for labour but also to defeat Modi," Sana Fazili wrote.

In Bihar, the Grand Alliance of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal-United, Lalu Prasad's Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress was poised to win majority in the 243-member assembly.
