Bihar Exit Poll 2025: People’s Insight Predicts Thumping Victory for NDA

The People's Insight Exit Poll has projected a resounding victory for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Bihar Assembly Election 2025, signaling a strong comeback for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his coalition with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The survey suggests that the NDA is likely to secure a comfortable majority, outpacing the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan (MGB) by a wide margin.

According to the exit poll, the NDA is expected to win 133 to 148 seats in the 243-member Bihar Assembly, while the Mahagathbandhan is projected to secure only 87 to 102 seats. The results indicate that the NDA is well on course to form the next government in the state, continuing its long-standing dominance in Bihar's political landscape.

Party-Wise Projections: NDA Commands Strong Lead

Within the NDA, the BJP remains the driving force, expected to bag 68 to 72 seats, while Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United) is projected to win 55 to 60 seats. The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) is likely to secure 9 to 12 seats, while allies like the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) could pick up 1-2 and 0-2 seats respectively.

On the opposition front, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) may end up with 65 to 72 seats, maintaining its position as the largest party in the Mahagathbandhan but falling short of expectations. The Congress (INC) is projected to win 9 to 13 seats, while the Left parties could claim 11 to 14 seats. Smaller players like the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) may secure 2 to 3 seats, and the Indian Insaan Party (IIP) is unlikely to win any.

Clear Mandate for NDA

The People's Insight poll suggests that voters have largely backed the NDA's promise of continuity, development, and stability under Nitish Kumar's leadership. The BJP's strong urban performance and JD(U)'s rural reach appear to have complemented each other, creating a formidable alliance on the ground.

Meanwhile, the Mahagathbandhan's campaign led by Tejashwi Yadav failed to translate its youth-driven momentum into a statewide swing, indicating that the NDA's organizational strength and governance record resonated more with voters.

Results Awaited on November 14

The final results will be declared on November 14, 2025, but if the People's Insight projections hold true, Bihar seems poised to give the NDA a thumping victory and another term in power.
