Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Names Sanjay Jha As New JD(U) Executive Chief
Following a high-level meeting with party's top leadership, Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar on Saturday named Rajya Sabha MP and senior leader Sanjay Jha as the new Janata Dal (United) Executive President.
The decision was made after a discussion with Union Ministers Rajiv Ranjan Singh aka Lallan Singh and Ramnath Thakur, along with other party dignitaries.
According to the reports, the party's top leadership also churned over JD(U)'s performance in the Lok Sabha Election 2024 and planned out things for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

It was also reported that JD(U) leaders talked over the party's demand from the Centre for a special category status to Bihar and all leaders agreed to the proposal.
Party leader Neeraj Kumar said Indian politics revolve around Nitish Kumar and the 2024 election results have made it clear.
Earlier today, CM Nitish Kumar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with his party leaders.
News of their meeting was shared by PM Modi himself on micro-blogging site X. In his post, PM Modi said, "Had a great meeting with JD(U) MPs. Our parties have a long history of working together and fighting poor governance, corruption and criminalisation in Bihar. The leadership of Nitish Kumar Ji has taken Bihar on the path of development. We will keep working together for good governance."
