Bihar bandh: Left, RJD, Congress protest against sexual abuse in Muzaffarpur
Patna, Aug 2: A state-wide bandh has been called by Left parties in Bihar today against the Muzaffarpur shelter home rapes in Bihar. The bandh is being supported by the Congress and RJD who are demanding CM Nitish Kumar's resignation.

Taking to Twitter, RJD leader and former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav had said on Wednesday, "Against ghastly, dreadful & gruesome mass rape sponsored by Nitish Kumar, Left parties have called Bihar Bandh tomorrow supported by RJD & Congress demanding CM Nitish Kumar resignation. I assure that I will compel Nitish Kumar to speak up. Chacha, get ready to walk the talk."
As many as 34 girls were sedated, tortured, burned and sexually abused by administration and visitors at a shelter home in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The case came to light in a social audit report by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
