Bihar: 3-Year Old Boy Who Fell Into Borewell Saved After 5-Hour Rescue Operation
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel on Sunday pulled out a 3-year-old boy alive who had fallen into a borewell.
It took around five years for the NDRF personnel to rescue the boy who fell into a 40-ft borewell in Kul village in Bihar's Nalanda district on Sunday. The 3-year-old has been identified as Shivam Kumar.

"The child is fine and has been rescued. He has been sent to the hospital. It took us around 5 hours to rescue him," says Ranjeet Kumar, NDRF officer told ANI.
How The Boy Fell Into Borewell?
Officials reported that the incident occurred because a farmer had dug a borewell and left it uncovered. The unfortunate event unfolded while children were playing with little Shivam, and they immediately informed his parents about the incident. A rescue operation was swiftly launched, deploying JCB machines and earthmovers to provide oxygen support and rescue the child. Further details are yet to be disclosed.
In a recent incident in Kajari Barkheda village, Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, a two-and-a-half-year-old girl fell into a 20-foot-deep borewell and, despite being rescued, was pronounced dead by doctors. Similarly, earlier on June 6, another two-and-a-half-year-old toddler lost her life after falling into a 300-feet-deep borewell in Sehore district, Madhya Pradesh.
