Bigg Boss Fame Armaan Malik, His 2 Wives Get Court Notice Over Multiple Marriages

Armaan Malik, a YouTuber known for his participation in Bigg Boss OTT 3, is facing legal challenges alongside his wives, Payal and Kritika Malik. A Patiala district court has summoned them to appear on 2 September in connection with two separate cases. This development follows allegations of bigamy and religious sentiment issues, said reports.

The legal troubles stem from a petition filed by Davinder Rajput. The petitioner claims that Armaan Malik has engaged in four marriages, contravening the Hindu Marriage Act, which allows only one marriage at a time for Hindus. Additionally, the petition accuses Armaan and Payal of offending religious sentiments through an Instagram video.

Allegations of Bigamy and Religious Offence

In the controversial video, Payal Malik appeared dressed as the Hindu goddess Kali. This portrayal sparked public outrage and was deemed disrespectful to religious beliefs. The petitioner argues that this act constitutes a punishable offence under Indian law. In response to the backlash, Armaan and Payal sought to make amends publicly.

On 22 July, the couple visited the Kali Mata Temple in Patiala to offer prayers and apologise for their actions. The following day, they went to another Kali temple in Kharar, Mohali. Here, Payal reportedly undertook a seven-day religious penance involving temple cleaning and rituals.

Efforts Towards Reconciliation

After these temple visits, Armaan and Payal travelled to Haridwar. They sought forgiveness from Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kailashanand Giri of the Niranjani Akhara. During this period of atonement, Payal's health deteriorated significantly, leading to her hospitalisation in Mohali.

Armaan Malik's real name is Sandeep. He originally hails from Hisar, Haryana, where he worked at a private bank before moving to Delhi. His rise to fame began as a content creator on social media platforms.

Armaan gained national attention when he entered Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 on 21 June 2024 with both his wives. Since then, their unconventional lifestyle has kept them in the spotlight through frequent online appearances.
