Bhupender Yadav appointed as Gujarat BJP chief
Yadav replaces Dinesh Sharma who has now been made UP's deputy CM.
New Delhi, Apr 18: BJP president Amit Shah on Tuesday appointed party general secretary Bhupender Yadav as the Gujarat state unit in-charge, replacing Dinesh Sharma, who has become Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister.

Gujarat, the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shah, will go to the polls by the end of this year along with Himachal Pradesh.
Yadav, a Rajya Sabha member, has been a key organisation leader in the saffron party and played an important role in most of the recent elections.
There is likely to be more organisational reshuffle in the BJP as some national office-bearers, including secretaries Sidharth Nath Singh, Shrikant Sharma and Mahendra Singh, have become ministers in the Uttar Pradesh government.
Sharma is Himachal in-charge while Sidharth Nath Singh takes care of the party's affairs in Andhra Pradesh and Mahendra Singh is Assam in-charge.
