Bhind: 18-year old girl raped, burnt with acid

Bhind Jan 1: An 18-year old girl was gangraped and burnt with acid in the Lahroli village in the Bhind district on Wednesday night.

The two men kidnapped her when she was out in the fields to relieve herself. The two, also the girl's uncles and her neighbor, took her to the nearby forest and raped her repeatedly throughout the night. They then left the place after burning her private parts and throwing acid on her body.

The girl's parents realised that she was missing when they woke up in the morning. On searching, they found the girl lying unconscious in the field. She was rushed to the district hospital in a serious condition.

In her statement to the police, she named her rapists as Dhamte and Munesh. Navneet Bhasin, the superintendent of police, said,"Police teams are trying to nab the accused. Soon, they will be behind the bars."
