Bharat Parv: Delhi Police Issue Traffic Advisory From Jan 23 To 31 | Details
A traffic advisory has been issued by the Delhi Police for the upcoming edition of Bharat Parv, scheduled to be held at Red Fort from January 23 to January 31.
According to Delhi Traffic Police, 15 August Park and Madhav Das Park will host food courts and handicraft stalls for the general public.

The launch of Bharat Parv will be initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, and the event is scheduled to be held from January 23 to January 31. The event will commence from 5:00 PM onwards and is designed to showcase the rich diversity of the country through Republic Day Tableaux and cultural exhibits, featuring the efforts of 26 Ministries and Departments.
The focus will be on highlighting citizen-centric initiatives, promoting "vocal for local," and showcasing diverse tourist attractions, among other aspects. The venue for the event will be the Ram Leela Maidan and Madhav Das Park, situated in front of the Red Fort.
Bharat Parv - Traffic Advisory
Similar to previous editions, this Bharat Parv will feature Republic Day tableaux, performances by Armed Forces bands, cultural presentations by zonal cultural centres and state/Union Territory troupes, a pan-India food court and crafts bazaar, pavilions of state governments, and central ministries, among other attractions.
The inaugural function is set for Tuesday, and the event will remain open to the general public until January 31. Anticipating a large number of visitors, the advisory notes that VIPs/VVIPs will also attend the Red Fort during this period.
Taking to x, formerly known as Twitter, Delhi Traffic Police wrote, " Traffic Advisory - Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India is organising 'Bharat Parva' at Red Fort from 23.01.2024 to 31.01.2024. Special traffic and parking arrangements have been made. Kindly follow the advisory."
Traffic Diversion:
As per the requirements during the Bharat Parv period, traffic is being diverted from Chatta Rail Crossing, Subhas Park T-point, Shanti Van Chowk, and Delhi Gate to avoid congestion.
Traffic Restrictions:
The advisory added that traffic restrictions, regulations, or diversions may be imposed on Netaji Subhas Marg from Chatta Rail Chowk to Delhi Gate and Nishad Raj Marg from Shanti Van crossing to the Subhas Park T-point.
Parking Facilities:
Many paid parking facilities are available near Red Fort, and they can be used by visitors and the general public based on their needs.
Instructions to General Public
1. Road Avoidance Advisory: The public has been advised to avoid roads or stretches where diversions are implemented and the areas where the function is organized.
2. Commute Precautions: Commuters heading to New Delhi and Old Delhi railway stations and the ISBT are recommended to leave with sufficient time in hand to accommodate possible delays.
3. Public Transport Recommendation: People are advised to utilize public transport facilities, especially the Metro, to reach the venue. Lal Quila, Jama Masjid, and Kashmere Gate are the nearest metro stations that can be used to reach the Red Fort.
4. Parking Guidelines: The public is urged to park vehicles only at designated lots and avoid roadside parking as it hinders the normal traffic flow.
5. Security Vigilance: The advisory has also requested people to inform the local police or the nearest personnel if any unusual or unidentified object or person is spotted in suspicious circumstances.
