'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra': Congress Rebrands Rahul Gandhi's March 2.0, Releases Route Map
Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress party has strategically rebranded the Rahul Gandhi-led yatra set to kick off from Manipur to Mumbai on January 14 as the 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.' The shift in name was unveiled by Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh following a pivotal meeting at the party headquarters. Chaired by Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge, the meeting saw the presence of PCC chiefs, CLP leaders, and state in-charges.
Formerly titled the 'Bharat Nyay Yatra,' Jairam Ramesh introduced the revamped name while outlining the extensive journey that will span across 15 states, encompassing Arunachal Pradesh.

Ramesh extended an invitation to all leaders from the INDIA bloc to partake in this yatra, underscoring its inclusive political nature. Spanning over 6,713 km, the yatra will navigate through 110 districts, covering nearly 100 Lok Sabha seats and 337 assembly segments.
The Bharat Jodo Kanyakumari-Srinagar Yatra, spanning from south to north India, had significantly bolstered goodwill. Privately, leaders within the Congress also acknowledged a shift in perception toward Mr. Gandhi, recognizing him as a serious political figure with a genuine connection to the people.
The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is scheduled to commence from Imphal at 12:30 pm, passing through Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, and West Bengal before heading towards central India.
Unlike its predecessor, this yatra won't solely rely on foot travel. Jairam Ramesh informed reporters this afternoon that the party intends to utilize buses for certain segments of the journey.
This alteration stems from both the time constraints imposed by the upcoming general election and the health considerations for the party's senior members. Last year, several leaders gained attention due to the physical strain they faced while attempting to match the remarkable fitness of Rahul Gandhi.
"We extend invitations to leaders from all INDIA alliance parties, their supporters, the general public, and NGOs to join us on this yatra," expressed Ramesh.
