Punjab CM Mann Confirms Kejriwal's Well-being in Tihar, Calls for Election Support

In a significant development, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently in Tihar Jail, on Tuesday. During their meeting, Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo, urged Mann to actively support INDIA bloc candidates in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Mann conveyed to the media that Kejriwal's health is stable, with regular insulin treatments and health check-ups being conducted.

Mann: Kejriwals Health Stable, Seeks Votes

Kejriwal's message to the public was clear: he encouraged people not to worry about him but to focus on exercising their right to vote in the elections. This visit marks Mann's second encounter with Kejriwal in jail within a fortnight, both times communicating through an iron mesh, a situation Mann described as reflective of deep-seated animosity.

Mann shared insights from his recent campaign activities in Gujarat and Assam, highlighting a strong public response and widespread disapproval of Kejriwal's incarceration. The Punjab Chief Minister emphasized that the electoral battle transcends mere victory or defeat; it is fundamentally about safeguarding the Constitution and democracy.

Furthermore, Mann revealed that Kejriwal also inquired about personal matters, including the wellbeing of Mann's one-month-old daughter, Niyamat. Discussions also touched upon agricultural productivity in Punjab and the impact of the Model Code of Conduct on local facilities. Mann reassured Kejriwal that public services remain unaffected.

In an inspiring note on education, Mann informed that 158 students from Punjab government schools have successfully cleared the JEE Mains for the first time, a milestone that Kejriwal lauded as a significant achievement towards realizing their shared vision for an educational revolution.

Kejriwal's wife Sunita and Delhi Minister Atishi had visited him on Monday. Since April 1, Kejriwal has been held in judicial custody at Tihar Jail in connection with an excise policy-linked money-laundering case. This ongoing legal battle has sparked widespread discussion and concern among supporters and political observers alike.
