Between 2018 and 2023, D K Shivakumar’s assets grew by Rs 573.78 crore
The Karnataka Assembly elections are set to be held on May 10 and all preparations are underway to ensure that a majority is secured in the 224 member house.
While there are several crorepatis in the fray, the average assets of the re-contesting MLAs in 2018 was Rs 29.18 crore.
The MLA who has declared the maximum increase in assets is Congress state chief, D K Shivakumar. In his affidavit, he has reported an asset increase of Rs 573.78 crore. This means when compared, Shivakumar has reported an asset increase from Rs 840.01 crore in 2018 to Rs 1413.80 crore in 2023.

Assets of N A.Haris of Congress from the Shantinagar constituency increased by Rs 248.96 crores, a report by the Association for Democratic Reforms said. His assets according to the report rose from Rs 190.24 crore in 2018 to Rs 439.20 crore in 2023, the report also said.
The assets of Munirathna of the BJP who is from the Rajarajeshwarinagar constituency grew by Rs 204.46 crore. His assets in 2018 were Rs 89.13 crore and in 2023 it is Rs 293.60 crore, the report added.
