Earlier this year, the actor had hit the headlines when his movie 'Malikappuram' came under attack from a section of netizens who were upset with the film over 'thank you' message to RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat in the title credits of the flick.
Leftists and liberals had called out the movie as an RSS agenda movie.
Also, a shop of a CPI party worker was vandalised after he openly praised 'Malikappuram'.
