Bengaluru: Jealous husband sends snake as a gift to BESCOM employee
Bengaluru, Oct 16: In a bizarre incident, a BESCOM staffer was left shocked when he received a creepy gift by the jealous husband of his female colleague in Bengaluru on Tuesday, Oct 13, inside his office at Crescent Road near Shivananda Circle.
The 40-year-old employee of Bangalore Electricity supply company Ltd got the shock of his life when he opened the gift and it contained a green snake! The viper was sleeping when the box was opened and the panicked employee managed to click his pic, after which, he threw it away.
"The package also contained a letter, written in Kannada, that warned him to stay away from a woman staffer or face consequences", Angelio Keith D'Silva, who works at Bescom's vigilance department, told a media house.
Keith, who believes that the deadly parcel was send by one of the jealous husband of his women colleagues, has filed a criminal intimidation case with the High Grounds police.
The parcel also had holes, so that the green viper could breathe.
The man, who sent the shocking courier was identified as a 48-year-old Shivaprasad from Tumakuru, whose wife Sheiljaa, works as a clerk with BESCOM.
Meanwhile, Police has reportedly lodged a non-cognisable offence against Shivaprasad and an investigation has been ordered into the case.
