Bengaluru halts traffic to save life, cops facilitate a heart transplant

Bengaluru, Sep 28: In a major achievement the Bengaluru police manged to create a green corridor to facilitate a heart transplant today.

The Bengaluru East Traffic police managed to facilitate and create a green corridor between the HCG and M S Ramaiah hospital in exactly 12 minutes and 45 seconds.

The police said that the heart transplant had to be done in quick time. Despite such heavy traffic in a peak hour in the evening the corridor was created.

The police tweeted. heart reached form the HCG to MSR hospital in 12.45 minutes through peak hour. Wishing the surgeons good luck the police also said.

Earlier the police had said that a green corridor will be provided to transport a heart from HCG to M S Ramaiah hospital today evening. Thank you for your cooperation, the police had also said.

Only in the month of June a 30-year-old Bengalurean received a new lease of life after he received a heart transplant thanks to a green corridor which was activated in Bengaluru.

The police helped transport the live heart from Appollo Hospital, Bannerghatta Road to Narayana Health City, Hosur Road. The ambulance covered the 33 km stretch between the two hospitals in 22 minutes.
