Bengaluru, Aug 25: Counting of votes to elect representatives of the Bengaluru civic corporation, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) began on Tuesday, Aug 25.

Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), JDS were tense. The results are yet to be declared officially but the heat of the moment touched micro-blogging site Twitter.

People were more interested in results than casting votes as just 49 per cent turned up at polling booths on Saturday, Aug 22.
