While many social media users appreciated the insight into Bengali culinary traditions, others expressed concerns over hygiene. Some pointed out that the vendors were handling the food without gloves and working barefoot. One user commented, "OMG, I didn't think it was food considering the carelessness in preparation." Another wrote, "Somebody introduce the concept of a table to them please."

However, some defended the process, stating that such traditional food-making methods have been followed for centuries. A supporter wrote, "People have been eating food made this way for generations. If you don't like it, don't eat it. Simple." Another comment read, "All the critics... do everyone a favour and stay in your house. We don't need your presence in our country."

The video has ignited a debate about hygiene versus tradition, with opinions divided on social media. While some celebrate the cultural significance of such foods, others stress the importance of maintaining hygiene standards in modern food preparation.
